Larian Studios’ game Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3) has just released Patch 7 with additional cinematic evil endings and support for official mods. Players can have a thrilling experience by playing an evil character in BG3 or modifying the game, but many choose to challenge themselves with Honour Mode, which increases the game’s difficulty and introduces permadeath. A devoted Baldur’s Gate 3 player accidentally wiped out their entire party during an Honour Mode run, only to receive sympathy flowers at work from their colleagues, leaving them baffled and intrigued.
The user u/Royal-Resolution4717 shared on Reddit that they tragically lost their entire party in the Honor Mode of Battle Grounds 3 during Act 3 while playing against Farslayer of Bhaal Ghislev, one of the game’s formidable enemies known for its ability to instantly kill players after several turns. Engrossed in a conversation with a friend on Discord, they accidentally overlooked the enemy and their oversight led to a devastating team wipe, concluding a 70-hour long Honor Mode run. The following morning, their sympathetic friend sent them condolence flowers, which were received by their coworkers who are unfamiliar with gaming, causing them to inquire about the unusual gesture.
The bouquet of white flowers included a note saying “Very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of your loved ones. RIP Tav, Wyll, Astarion, and Shadowheart. Sending love and support, Brazz.” Many players replying to the post said that their good friend Brazz was fun and humorous enough to send them these followers, with some of them even saying they wanted to befriend Brazz. Other players stated that u/Royal-Resolution4717 should tell their co-workers what happened, and proudly share more about their awesome friend and hobby.
Some people discussed the endings of their Baldur’s Gate 3 Honour Mode games, with one individual mentioning that a gnome wielding a nuclear weapon brought an end to their gameplay. Many others talked about how their gaming journey concluded, but the general sentiment was overwhelmingly positive about the role that friends play in enhancing gaming experiences.
