Big Brother's T'Kor Clottey May Have Looked Calm During Season 26's Wild Moments, But Told Us How She Really Felt

As a long-time Big Brother enthusiast, I’ve watched countless seasons and have never encountered a player quite like T’Kor Clottey. Her calm demeanor during the game was nothing short of remarkable, yet her recent revelation to TopMob about her inner struggles has left me in awe.

As a die-hard Big Brother fan, I must say that Season 26 lived up to its chaotic reputation from the get-go when Angela Murray went off on Matt Hardeman in Week 1. Yet, amidst all the turmoil, one Houseguest managed to maintain her composure throughout, even during her recent eviction. T’Kor Clottey might have appeared calm, but she confided in TopMob that it wasn’t as serene as it seemed.

T’Kor answered TopMob’s submitted question before entering the jury house, for which I inquired how she appeared to remain so calm, cool, and collected during the game. The Houseguest did seem surprised to hear that Big Brother fans such as myself had that impression, and noted that her inner feelings were anything but subdued. In her words:

Did I appear composed, relaxed, and self-assured during the competition? Absolutely not. Instead, I was a bundle of nerves each day. This was true even when I wasn’t up for eviction, or one of my allies wasn’t. I was always on edge about the upcoming vote, the next round of competition, and the potential consequences. In essence, I tend to overthink things quite a bit during this game. Although I managed to keep a cool exterior, inside I was constantly worried and restless.

It tickles me to see genuine expressions from T’Kor now that she’s left the house, as she usually seemed unaffected, but it turns out she’s quite skilled at hiding her feelings – a true master of poker face. In her own words, she confessed to being extremely anxious, which makes me feel sorry for her in retrospect.

In Season 26, T’Kor was often seen as one of the less assertive players, primarily due to how she appeared on live streams during Big Brother broadcasts. Given what we now know about her internal conflicts, it’s amazing she managed to maintain composure instead of frequently losing control like Angela Murray has. Despite my admiration for Angela, her approach to the game isn’t one that those aiming to win Big Brother should follow.

It’s likely that some viewers would contend that T’Kor contributed significantly to her own stress and tension during the season by choosing to evict Tucker Des Lauriers when she was Head of Household. This decision weakened her alliance, ultimately leading to a shift in power and eventually her eviction during Leah Peter’s HOH week. While many spectators viewed this as a major mistake, T’Kor maintained her belief that she made the correct choice in nominating Tucker, as expressed on her eviction night to Julie Chen Moonves.

Currently, she’s residing in the jury room alongside Quinn, anticipating the arrival of two more Housemates later on in the week. TopMob is contemplating potential candidates who might be at risk after the Week 10 Power of Veto competition, but we’ll hold off on revealing those predictions until viewers have a chance to watch the episode first. As for my perspective, I believe this season of Big Brother is truly outstanding, and I don’t foresee anything in the upcoming episodes altering that viewpoint.

On Wednesday, September 25th, at 9:30 PM Eastern Time, catch up with “Big Brother” on CBS. Don’t miss the whole veto competition and the exciting schemes that Makensy Manbeck has planned for her Head of Household week!
