Bill Maher Slams “Obnoxious Posers” for Criticizing Cheryl Hines After Husband RFK Jr. Endorses Trump

As a long-time fan of Bill Maher and his fearless approach to discussing controversial topics, I wholeheartedly agree with his recent defense of Cheryl Hines. It’s disheartening to see how some on the left have chosen to criticize her for standing by her husband’s political decisions, especially when she has made it clear that she does not support Trump.

Bill Maher is standing up for Cheryl Hines, who has been under fire, regarding her spouse Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s choice to support Donald Trump in his presidential bid.

On his recent appearance on HBO’s “Real Time”, the comedian openly stated that he couldn’t back RFK Jr.’s presidential bid. However, he fiercely defended Hines against criticism she faced online for continuing to support her husband.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: “My wife, Cheryl Hines, is widely admired as an exceptional individual, someone who doesn’t have a single enemy in Hollywood. However, our relationship might have taken a turn after a recent decision he made, which I publicly expressed my disagreement with. But hey, every couple has its moments!

As a gamer, I’m making it clear that I’ve never been on the Trump bandwagon for his third presidential run. Just like RFK Jr. shared with TMZ last month, my wife is deeply rooted in the Democratic party, a lifelong Democrat, to be precise.

Maher criticized “arrogant pretenders on the mentioned far-left” for offensive tweets aimed at the actress from “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” This criticism included a comment by actor Bradley Whitford on X (previously Twitter), where he chastised Hines for remaining silent during the events. In his post, Whitford stated, “Shameful to stay quiet while your extreme spouse endorses the convicted rapist who boasts about violating women’s basic rights.

“You know what’s not brave? It’s a man explaining to a woman, indirectly, that she should sacrifice her marriage just because you agree with something on Twitter. This is one of the reasons I criticize the Left more than before – there’s a harshness they didn’t used to have. The liberals I admired in my youth would never behave like this. Even the mafia doesn’t go after women’s spouses.

The host commented, “Theoretically, liberals show empathy, but in reality, this individual seems to struggle with a fundamental challenge that every human encounters – the need to endure certain hardships when in a committed relationship.

In August, RFK Jr. halted his own presidential bid and gave his support to Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, as well as his vice-presidential pick, J.D. Vance.
