Bill Skarsgard, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe are now part of the cast for “The Death of Robin Hood,” a project that already boasts Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer in leading roles.
This gripping tale revolves around Robin Hood confronting his past filled with criminal activities and killings. A secretive woman presents him an opportunity for redemption. The film, creatively conceived and masterfully directed by Michael Sarnoski, began filming in Ireland this week.
Alexander Skarsgard recently took on the role of Count Orlok in “Nosferatu”, and is famously recognized for his previous depictions of Pennywise the Clown in both “It” and “It Chapter Two”, which are adaptations from Stephen King’s terrifying horror novel. On the other hand, Michael Bartlett appeared as Armond in HBO’s “The White Lotus”, and has additional credits including “The Last of Us” and “Welcome to Chippendales”.
Jupe has gained recognition for his performances in “The Night Manager”, George Clooney’s dark comedy “Suburbicon”, “Wonder”, the horror movies “A Quiet Place” and its sequel “A Quiet Place Part II”. The movie is being financed by Lyrical Media, with Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett serving as producers under their Ryder Picture Company label, and Alexander Black also producing for Lyrical Media.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that I’ll be part of an incredible team executing this upcoming game. Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers are on board as producers, along with Rama Gottumukkala, Sarnoski, and Jackman. A24 secured the U.S. distribution rights during Cannes, while True Brit Entertainment will bring it to screens in the UK and Ireland. I can’t wait to see this project come together!
The film’s international distribution rights are handled by WME, as Skarsgard, Bartlett, and Jupe are respectively represented by WME along with Agentfirman, Magnolia Entertainment, Anonymous Content, and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
