The Ellis Penny Loafer design by Blackstock & Weber has been given the Major League Baseball makeover, featuring two new styles adorned with logos representing the New York Yankees and Mets. These additions are part of the “Subway Series Pack,” a collection that also includes lively caps developed in partnership with ’47 Brand. According to creative director Chris Echevarria, these footwear styles fit perfectly within the Blackstock & Weber brand.
“To create a product for baseball’s top team, the Yankees, is a cherished aspiration of mine… and not just a figment of my imagination,” he expressed in a statement. “As a devoted baseball enthusiast, this undertaking holds a special place in my heart and memories.”
The navy blue Ellis Penny Loafers of the Yankees and the black ones of the Mets differ in their leather finishes. The Yankees shoes have navy pebble grain leather, showcasing their team logo on the front part, while the Mets’ shoes are made of black pebble grain leather with their tri-color emblem in the same spot. Inside both pairs lies green lining, a favorite color choice for Echevarria and a representation of baseball’s lush outfields.
Nylon Captain RF hats come in two colors: black for the Mets and navy for the Yankees. The side designs feature B&W’s iconic imagery, while the under brims are uniformly green. Lastly, an adjustable nylon strap ensures a customizable fit.
