Blue Bloods’ Bridget Moynahan Shared A Selfie After There Was No New Episode This Week, And Her Caption Sums Up My Feelings Perfectly

As a dedicated Blue Bloods fan who’s grown accustomed to following the Reagan family through thick and thin for over a decade, I must say that this week’s break feels like a gut punch. It’s as if someone snatched my favorite blanket right when I was about to curl up with it for another heartwarming episode.

This week, unfortunately, we didn’t get a fresh installment of “Blue Bloods” as we approach the last month in the 2024 TV schedule. However, there are only two episodes left to go. As fans prepare to bid farewell to the Reagan family after 14 seasons, the impending goodbye is becoming more poignant than ever. To maintain excitement and remind viewers of the missed episode, Bridget Moynahan posted a selfie with an apt caption, perfectly encapsulating my feelings about this skip week.

CBS didn’t air its entire Friday night programming lineup (including S.W.A.T. and Fire Country) on their schedule this week. Although Blue Bloods did air, it was a repeat alongside an Entertainment Tonight special celebrating the police procedural as it’s one of the shows that will be ending in 2024. In response to this, Moynahan posted a selfie on Instagram expressing her frustration, and honestly, I share her feelings since there wasn’t a new episode available either.

Although we did see the special titled “Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy” with fresh and old interviews from the ET archive, backstage footage, insights into the series finale, and other extras, it was still strange not to have a new regular episode. Thus, Moynahan’s post remains just as relevant today, and we haven’t even discussed her caption yet.

The actress emphasized her point strongly by writing about the missing episode this week and hinting at an ending soon. To put it simply, her words left me feeling a mix of emotions as I pondered everything she had said.

I just figured out that there won’t be a fresh episode of Blue Bloods tonight, yet I’m eagerly anticipating the last two episodes which start airing from next Friday onwards.

As the final chapters of this beloved series draw near in just two weeks, I find myself swirling in a mix of emotions. Though I’m elated that we have a few more stories to savor, the nearness of its conclusion feels heavy. Even though I can binge-watch the entire series with a Paramount+ subscription, the realization that only two new episodes remain is striking a deep emotional chord within me.

The shooting of Blue Bloods was completed during the summer, which means the majority of the cast and team members have probably moved past most of their emotional moments. Yet, Len Cariou had mentioned that the final day of filming seemed ordinary because everyone was well-prepared for it. It wasn’t until seeing everyone again several weeks later that it became difficult, as it truly felt like a heartfelt farewell.

In the meantime, both viewers and some members of the cast continue to wish for the revival of Blue Bloods, but as the clock ticks, the chances seem slimmer and slimmer. Consequently, all we can do is cherish the remaining episodes.

If you find it tough to get through Fridays when Blue Bloods is off the air, it’ll be even more challenging once the show concludes in two weeks. But don’t worry just yet, as the final episode of Blue Bloods is set for Friday, December 13 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
