Bobby Deol admits dad Dharmendra didn’t want his kids to mingle with film industry: ‘wo chahte the ki humey…’

Despite being the son of the esteemed Indian actor Dharmendra, Bobby Deol had a modest upbringing that was typical of the middle class. On numerous occasions, Bobby, who is famously known as the ‘Animal’ star, has discussed his humble childhood and how he wasn’t allowed to socialize with individuals in the entertainment industry. Intriguingly, Bobby recently disclosed that his father would never permit him to attend any parties thrown for children of stars. As a child, unlike today’s youth, Bobby Deol did not attend glamorous parties or socialize frequently with his peers in the film industry. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, the star of Ek Badnaam Aashram revealed that his father, renowned actor Dharmendra, intentionally kept them away from the superficial side of Bollywood because he believed it was not genuine. Bobby explained that his father wished to keep them separate from anything shallow by saying, “He wanted us to stay far from anything superficial.

Deol continued by saying that whenever one of the star kids had a birthday, his father would always keep them at home instead. However, he now acknowledges that this was a mistake because at the time, they genuinely wanted to go out. Unfortunately, since they weren’t allowed then, it has since developed into a habit and he no longer gives it much thought.

During the same interview, the actor confessed that they hadn’t experienced a lifestyle similar to the movie business. In reality, they came from a modest family and rarely hosted parties at home nor frequently discussed films. The star of Housefull 4 shared that their life was quite ordinary and the film industry never swayed them in any way.

Bobby reminisced about his limited experience in the industry, which was primarily observing his father being adored: “Either visiting a film set or witnessing crowds gathering around our house, I’d always find myself taken aback by this peculiar sight.
