According to PTI, an October 25 court order disclosed that a magistrate had prepared a report following a judicial investigation under section 176 (1-A) of the CrPC. Upon examining the results, the court determined that there was no evidence suggesting Anuj Thapan’s death in custody was caused by police actions.
