Multiple movies such as Sanam Teri Kasam, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, Padmaavat, Laila Majnu, Karan Arjun, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani are coming back to cinemas for viewers to watch once more. In this poll, fans can select and cast their vote for the film they believe deserved a second chance on the big screen.
1. Sanam Teri Kasam
In contrast to its modest box office performance initially, the creators of Sanam Teri Kasam decided to bring it back to theaters on February 7, 2025. However, since ticket sales began, fans have been expressing their affection for the movie directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. The film features Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane making their Hindi debuts, alongside Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhari, Murli Sharma, and Sudesh Berry.
2. Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein
Under the guidance of director Gautham Vasudev Menon, the movie “Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein” has become a timeless classic over the years. The actors R. Madhavan and Dia Mirza are still recognized for their roles as Maddy and Reena in this romantic drama film. Additionally, Saif Ali Khan was also part of the cast. On August 30, 2024, the film was re-released on the big screen.
3. Padmaavat
Following a triumphant premiere back in 2018, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic movie “Padmaavat” was re-screened in theaters on February 6, 2025, to celebrate its seventh anniversary. This gave viewers another opportunity to witness the film’s splendor on the large screen, with Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Aditi Rao Hydari reprising their significant roles.
4. Laila Majnu
In August 9, 2024, Sajid Ali’s movie “Laila Majnu” hit theaters nationwide. This film, initially released on September 7, 2018, didn’t fare well commercially at the box office. However, over time it gained a cult following. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, this romantic tragedy featured Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary in the lead roles.
5. Karan Arjun
Fans were overjoyed when it was announced that the timeless duo Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Karan Arjun would be re-released. On November 22, 2024, cinemas around the world screened the film again, much to the delight of fans everywhere.
6. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, directed by Ayan Mukerji, was re-released on January 3, 2025. This movie showed strong pre-sale figures and was a success even after its second run in theaters.
