Bose unveiled four vibrant spring-inspired color options for their clip-on Ultra Open Earbuds, a lively quartet to bid farewell to the drab winter greys.
Launched in February of the previous year, Bose’s initial foray into open-ear buds has garnered significant popularity for the Massachusetts-adjacent brand. These earbuds, an alternative to the commonly used in-ear buds, clip onto and adhere to your ears like mini portable speakers, unlike traditional models that fit inside the ear canal. This design makes them particularly suitable for individuals who seek a “transparent” listening experience, as they allow environmental sounds to permeate, since they do not block external noise.
These earbuds are exceptionally lightweight and cozy, featuring a convenient clip-on design that makes them effortless to use for extended periods. In truth, the gentle grip of these earbuds on your ear is so minimal that you might forget they’re there at all. Unlike in-ear models that fit snugly within your ear canal, these open earbuds eliminate the bothersome feeling of pressure that can build up when using some noise-cancelling earbuds.
Users will enjoy up to 7.5 hours of battery life on a single charge, with an additional 19 hours available in the charging case. These earbuds are compatible with Bluetooth 5.3 technology, allowing Android users to utilize Google Fast Pair for quick and easy connectivity. Additionally, they incorporate Snapdragon’s Sound Technology Suite and the latest Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codec for high-resolution audio streaming.
Last year, Bose introduced their original Ultra Open Earbuds, which were marketed as merging fashion accessory and wearable technology. In fact, the initial release was in partnership with Kith. The recent introduction of four new colorways – Sunset Iridescent, Carbon Blue, Chilled Lilac, and Sandstone – adds to this concept by making a bold statement according to Bose.
Bose’s Ultra Open Earbuds are available today via the brand’s website priced at $299 USD / £299 GBP.
