Bottega Veneta Keeps Cooking for Resort 2025

As a seasoned gamer and fashion enthusiast who’s spent countless hours immersed in virtual worlds, I must admit that my real-world wardrobe often pales in comparison to the vibrant, eclectic styles I encounter in games like “The Sims” or “Cyberpunk 2077”. However, Bottega Veneta‘s Resort 2025 collection has managed to bridge that gap, offering a tantalizing taste of the fantastical in the realm of high fashion.

Despite experiencing a decline in sales of up to 25% in the third quarter for brands like Gucci, Saint Laurent, and most other Kering fashion houses, Bottega Veneta emerged as a source of optimism within the luxury conglomerate. Under the leadership of Matthieu Blazy, this Italian label was the sole Kering brand to record positive sales growth – a 5% increase in revenue to be precise – amidst a global slowdown in the luxury market. It’s plausible that the label’s unique creativity (ornamental lounge chairs shaped like animals!), high-end leather products (Sardine bags!), and notable endorsements (A$AP Rocky, Jacob Elordi!) played a significant role in boosting these figures.

The prosperous label has recently revealed its Resort 2025 collection, a vibrant declaration of style brimming with artisanal, vivid, theatrical, and classic elements that reflect the essence of Blazy’s work. “I immersed myself in numerous books about elegance, understanding how to express oneself through style,” Blazy shared with Vogue, regarding the inspiration behind this line. “At the same time, I revisited a lot of Anthony Bourdain’s works. There are many similarities between the joy of cooking and the joy of arranging pieces on a silhouette.

In Bottega’s 2025 Resort collection, you’ll discover their iconic cross-stitched leather garments and accessories, animal prints on coats, skirts, and boots, along with collarless plaid shirts without buttons. You’ll also find vibrant scarves in fire engine red, soft pastel-green gloves, and the massive “Biggest World Book Ever” by Richard Scarry. The collection is a blend of spicy elements like snakeskin coats, multi-colored sequin gowns, boastful suits, and party-ready gold skirts, as well as sweet sophistication in the form of tailored double-breasted blazers, traditional pleated pants, modest knitwear, and formal evening attire. The color scheme used by Blazy in this collection is wonderfully diverse.

Blazy expressed that this season’s goal was practically luxurious and food-focused. He essentially chose items he enjoyed most. This is similar to an Italian approach, where if the ingredients are exceptional, little extra work is needed.” In such a case, a Bottega Veneta cookbook might become incredibly popular as well.
