Under the guidance of director Bart Layton, the film titled “Crime 101” is inspired by Don Winslow’s novel of the same title. The plot revolves around detective Lou Lubesnick who is on a mission to unravel a series of high-value jewel heists. The criminal behind these crimes follows a specific set of guidelines, aptly named “Crime 101.” As the paths of different characters intertwine, the distinction between pursuer and pursued becomes increasingly blurred. Layton was responsible for adapting the screenplay.
