Brad Pitt to Star in New A24 Film from ‘Conclave’ Director Edward Berger

Brad Pitt and Conclave director Edward Berger will team on A24 feature The Riders.

The movie “The Riders” is an adaptation of Tim Winton’s novel, titled similarly, which was nominated for the Booker Prize in 1995. The story revolves around a man and his daughter who journey across Europe in search of the wife and mother who has mysteriously disappeared. David Kajganich is responsible for bringing this tale to life on the big screen.

Ridley Scott, together with Michael Pruss, is overseeing the production under his Scott Free label. Kajganich will join as a producer, along with Berger’s nine hours banner and Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, and Dede Gardner from Plan B Entertainment. The project is set to begin filming in early 2026, taking advantage of various European locations for its shooting.

Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss are producing this movie under the Scott Free label. Kajganich will also help produce it along with other teams, including Berger’s team, Brad Pitt’s team, and two others from Plan B Entertainment. Filming will start in early 2026, in several places across Europe.

Berger, Kajganich and Scott Free previously worked with on AMC series The Terror.

Previously, Pitt was spotted acting alongside George Clooney in the action-comedy film “Wolfs,” and soon, you’ll see him in the high-speed world of Formula One in the movie titled “F1.” Both films are set to be released through Apple.

Berger, a highly demanded director in Hollywood, was previously showcased in cinemas with the drama set at the Vatican titled “Conclave“, and has just finished shooting the Netflix mystery known as “The Ballad of a Small Player“.
