Brad Pitt’s Rep Responds After Catfished Fan Was Scammed Out of $850K

Brad Pitt’s representatives have spoken up following claims that a fan of his was swindled out of approximately $850,000.

53-year-old French resident Anne, who had been led to believe she was involved in a long-term relationship with an F1 celebrity, later disclosed that she had been tricked. The deceitful individual reportedly employed AI technology to mimic Brad Pitt, sending Anne customized images and messages. In the end, Anne was persuaded to transfer close to a million dollars for a supposed cancer treatment, as “Pitt” claimed he couldn’t access his bank accounts due to his divorce from Angelina Jolie. The scammer even distributed AI-generated photos of Pitt in a hospital setting to strengthen Anne’s belief and prompt her to send the money.

Currently, Brad Pitt’s representative has issued a statement saying, “It’s regrettable when scammers exploit the close bond between fans and celebrities. This serves as a valuable warning not to react to uninvited online contacts, particularly from actors who don’t use social media.

Indeed, Pitt, like many A-listers, doesn’t have social media accounts.

It’s said that Anne eventually figured out she had been tricked when she spotted pictures showing Pitt spending time outside with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.

Anne shared her personal account on an episode of the French television program “Seven to Eight”, which was later featured in the American publication, “Men’s Journal”.

Initially, Anne thought it was a hoax, absurd even. “However,” she admitted, “I’m not very familiar with social media, so I didn’t fully grasp the situation. I can’t help but wonder why they singled me out to inflict such harm on me. I’ve always tried to do good, never hurt anyone. Those individuals seem destined for a place of suffering.

Unfortunately for Anne, her decision to expose the scam has resulted in a series of distressing incidents often referred to as “harassment.” This unwanted attention has even prompted the withdrawal of her TV show from various broadcasting platforms.
