BREAKING: Shah Rukh Khan confirms King with Sujoy Ghosh; says, 'I have been thinking about it since 6-7 years

As a lifestyle expert with a rich experience in the entertainment industry, I must say that Shah Rukh Khan continues to be a dynamic force in Bollywood, consistently challenging himself and pushing boundaries. His decision to collaborate with his daughter Suhana Khan on “King” is not only an exciting development but also a testament to his unwavering passion for storytelling.

Last year, Shah Rukh Khan captivated audiences not just once, but three times with blockbuster films that were mass entertainers. Despite having a full schedule, he continues to work tirelessly on his upcoming project. As previously reported, the renowned actor will collaborate with his daughter Suhana Khan in their forthcoming film entitled “King.”

At a recent event during the 77th Locarno Film Festival, Shah Rukh Khan revealed details about his upcoming action film directed by Sujoy Ghosh. In a video that’s been widely shared online, he officially confirmed, “My next project is titled ‘King’. I need to shed some pounds and loosen up to avoid any injuries while performing action sequences.”

Shah Rukh Khan, who recently received the Pardo alla Carriera award at the festival, shared that this recognition has been on his mind for a few years. In another conversation, he discussed his movie selection process. Actor from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai revealed that last year, he completed the films Jawan and Dunki.

Speaking subtly about a role, Shah Rukh Khan disclosed, “I’ve been considering a particular type of movie for around six to seven years now, one that focuses more on age rather than youth. One day, I brought it up with Sujoy and he replied, ‘Sir, I have an idea for such a project.'”

In my own words, I’d say: I keep things straightforward when it comes to choosing my films. When a particular genre piques my interest, I openly express this desire. Then, I connect with a few individuals, some of whom have compelling ideas. Once we discuss these ideas, we dive right in, produce the film, and enjoy the process immensely. This approach has never been more straightforward than it is now.

For those unfamiliar, King will be Suhana’s first appearance on the big screen and is set to begin filming in November of this year. It features Abhishek Bachchan portraying a villain, while Abhay Verma has been cast in an important role for the eagerly awaited movie.
