As a dedicated ARMY (that’s what BTS fans are called), I’ve been following RM’s journey from the very beginning and I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming documentary, RM: Right People, Wrong Place. This film promises to give us an intimate look into the life of our beloved leader during the eight months leading up to his military enlistment. It’s like getting a backstage pass to BTS’s world!
BTS continues to keep their fans entertained even while they are serving their mandatory military service, this time by creating a documentary film centered around the group’s leader, RM.
The movie titled “RM: Inappropriate People, Appropriate Place” is set to debut at the Busan International Film Festival. This film, selected for the festival’s Open Cinema section, follows the journey of creating the global star’s second solo album titled “Incorrect Person, Correct Place“.
On Tuesday, it was announced that CJ 4DPLEX, a division of the South Korean corporation CJ Group, and BTS’ record label HYBE made the announcement.
“It’s fantastic that the documentary film ‘RM: Right People, Wrong Place’ is the first to focus on a K-pop artist and has been chosen for the large-scale outdoor premiere at the Busan International Film Festival. According to Hybe Media Studio’s GM Gyewon Suh, the movie offers an authentic depiction of RM, and with director Lee Seokjun’s distinctive visual approach, they have created a remarkable and unconventional piece. They hope that this film will strongly resonate with viewers.”
This movie titled “RM: Right People, Wrong Place” chronicles the genuine adventure of BTS’ leader RM as he maneuvers through the intricacies of becoming a worldwide sensation, as stated in an announcement. The film offers viewers a glimpse into the eight months preceding the rapper’s military enlistment.
Kim Namjoon, often known as RM, completed his mandatory military service in South Korea towards the end of last year. In fact, seven out of the eight members of the band BTS are presently fulfilling their national service duties.
The movie titled “Right People, Wrong Place” is helmed by director Lee Seokjun and is brought to us by Hybe. In the past, Lee has created music videos for J-Hope, a fellow member of BTS. This upcoming film is set to hit theaters globally later in the year, as stated in an official announcement.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share the exciting news about the global theatrical release of the BTS RM documentary titled “RM: Right People, Wrong Place“. In partnership with Hybe and BigHit Music, we are continuing our successful collaboration from the previous cinema event “BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas“. CJ 4DPLEX’s CEO Joon Beom Sim made this announcement in a statement.
RM and his companions were seen greeting Jin, the eldest member of BTS, upon his release from military service this summer. Meanwhile, bandmates Jimin and Jungkook are the main attractions in a fresh Disney+ series titled “Are You Sure?!“, which was shot in 2023 prior to their enlistment. This eight-episode travel show will continue until September 19th.
