After wrapping up a three-day showcase in Seoul, Hoseok Jung (better known as J-Hope) will jet off to the U.S. for the North American tour leg. Starting with two concerts at New York’s Barclays Center on March 13, he’ll make stops in Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, and Oakland afterwards.

The rapper’s North American tour will conclude at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium, marking a historic event as it will be the first time a Korean solo artist has headlined a U.S. stadium. Following this U.S. show, the artist (who is known as the main dancer of BTS) plans to travel to the Philippines, Singapore, and other Asian countries.

For the next three evenings in Seoul, fans can catch J-Hope’s performance live on Weverse, Hybe’s official fan platform. At present, it remains undecided if any other stops on the tour will also be livestreamed.

J-Hope’s upcoming tour signifies his debut as a solo act, but he’s not new to solo performances – he headlined Lollapalooza Chicago in 2022, making him the first Korean artist ever to do so at a major U.S. music festival. Before enlisting, his BTS bandmate Suga (real name Yoongi Min) embarked on his own world tour with his solo persona Agust D back in 2023.

In October 2022, J-Hope along with bandmates RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook put on a massive, free show called “Yet to Come” in Busan, South Korea. This concert, which aimed to bolster Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo, attracted fans from across the globe who call themselves ARMY, BTS’ dedicated fanbase.

Following their concert, BigHit Music revealed that each of the seven band members would be commencing their mandatory military service, stating it was an opportune moment and expressing pride in serving their country. The eldest member, Jin, is due for discharge in June 2024, followed by J-Hope in October of the same year. It’s anticipated that BTS will reunite as a complete unit this year once all seven members have completed their service.

Army fan club members get priority access to buy tickets on January 22nd, while general sales are set for January 23rd. The details regarding ticket sales for the Los Angeles stop will be shared at a later time because of the ongoing wildfires in the area.
