As a long-time fan of musicals and a dedicated LEGO enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement for this upcoming collaboration between Wicked and LEGO! The prospect of building and displaying my very own miniature sets based on the film’s stunning sets and beloved characters is an absolute dream come true.
In May, ardent fans of the musical sensation “Wicked” were given a delightful surprise when the trailer for Jon M. Chu’s upcoming film adaptation was meticulously rebuilt using LEGO bricks in an amazing spectacle of animation, as seen below.
Now, fans of all ages who love LEGO bricks can look forward to an even greater sense of excitement as LEGO unveils the authentic Wicked sets inspired by the stunning movie sets, breathtaking locations, and cherished characters.
Starting in November, the musical Wicked presents Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, two sorceresses of Oz who become friends at Shiz University, an encounter that will reshape their world entirely. The LEGO sets based on these characters won’t be released until October 1, but you can catch a glimpse of the enchanted sets in the preview provided below.

LEGO Wicked Elphaba & Glinda Figures
Should you be a supporter of Glinda and Elphaba, this figure set lets you construct the duo using 558 bricks, creating a long-lasting display with color-coordinated bases (green for Elphaba and pink for Glinda) and some of their iconic items. Additionally, by scanning the set’s secret QR code, you can unlock “Defying Gravity,” the famous song from the movie, as well as exclusive LEGO Wicked content.
LEGO Wicked Glinda, Elphaba & Nessarose at Shiz University
Construct this 304-piece set to assemble the authentic location where Glinda, Elphaba, and Nessarose (portrayed by Marissa Bode in the upcoming movie) gather at Shiz University. Two magnificent costumes grace the wardrobes of our leading actresses, reminiscent of the film’s unforgettable setting. This detailed creation serves as the magical location where their friendship unfolds, paving the way for the captivating song, “Popular.”
Welcome to Emerald City
To round things off, when Elphaba and Glinda visit the wizard, they find themselves in the grand Emerald City. This impressive set required 945 bricks to construct both its facade and a portion of its interior, serving as the main base for Oz. The miniature figurines included are representations of Glinda, Elphaba, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero. Additionally, this toy version includes extras such as the Grimmerie spell book, a candy apple stand, a miniature model of the wizard’s air balloon, and a replica of his talking head from the film.
