CAA’s Hildy Gottlieb to Retire After Nearly Five-Decade Hollywood Run

After almost five decades of working as a prominent production executive and talent representative for top-tier stars in Hollywood, Hildy Gottlieb is planning to retire at the close of February.

On Monday, Creative Artists Agency, where Gottlieb joined after the merger between the company and Century City-based giant ICM Partners in 2022, announced that he had made the move to their team.

During her professional journey, Hildy has played a key role in nurturing the careers of many talented artists. As evidenced by her discerning taste, strong connections, and unwavering dedication, she consistently benefited both her clients and associates,” commented Franklin Latt and Rachel Rusch, heads of CAA’s Motion Picture Talent department collectively. “We extend our best wishes to her as she embarks on a new phase in her life.

Beginning her journey in the industry at ICM back in 1980, Gottlieb now manages a diverse roster of talents such as Olivia Colman, Jeff Goldblum, Kathy Bates, Walton Goggins, and Michael Stuhlbarg, under her current tenure at CAA.

Ten years after departing from the agency, she took over Alec Baldwin’s production company, El Dorado Pictures, and subsequently signed a production contract, together with her spouse, director Walter Hill, at Paramount Pictures.

2007 saw me returning to ICM, where I later became a partner in 2013. Within this agency, I also had the privilege of being a mentor in the Women in Entertainment Mentoring Program – a collaborative initiative between Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Hollywood Reporter.
