As a seasoned gamer with a heart for compassion and community, I can’t help but be moved by the selfless act of Kevin Huvane, honoring his late brother Chris in such an impactful way. The unveiling of this Project Angel Food van dedicated to Chris is more than just a vehicle; it’s a testament to love, compassion, and the power of community that transcends virtual worlds.
On Monday, a heartwarming and inspiring event took place outside the Century City headquarters of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), as influential talent agent Kevin Huvane joined forces with Project Angel Food to pay tribute to his deceased brother, Chris Huvane.
The event, which was attended by CAA insiders, colleagues of Chris Huvane at Entertainment 360, Richard Ayoub (CEO of Project Angel Food), and members of the Huvane family, marked the unveiling of a new white van that will be utilized by the nonprofit to transport meals to seriously ill individuals throughout Los Angeles County. The van was dedicated to Chris, thanks to a $50,000 donation from Kevin, and it features Chris’s image along with an inscription: “In loving memory of Chris Huvane. May this van carry his legacy on every journey. Love always goes the distance…
Kevin expressed: “Project Angel Food encapsulates compassion and community spirit wonderfully, making a deep difference in the lives of countless individuals and families across Los Angeles County. By providing nutritious meals to those in need, they not only sustain physical health but also boost morale. It’s a privilege for me to contribute to their cause, remembering my cherished brother, Chris Huvane, who was an inspiration to me and many others.
Chris, a well-respected figure in Hollywood who oversaw the careers of stars such as Margot Robbie, Chadwick Boseman, Julianne Moore, Zach Braff, Henry Winkler, Zoey Deutch and others, tragically took his own life at the age of 47 on February 6, 2022. This sad news sent ripples of shock throughout Hollywood. At the time, his company released a statement saying, “Chris was a brilliant manager, an outstanding colleague, and a cherished friend, a pillar of our organization and our culture, adored by everyone who ever met him. We are all better for having known Chris, and we pledge to uphold his legacy every day going forward.” His family had previously paid tribute to him with a special charity event in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Speaking about himself, Ayoub expressed, “There’s no more fitting tribute to a cherished individual than by supporting a vehicle that distributes life-saving meals to people battling critical illness. As Chris Huvane’s van traverses the 4,751 square miles of Los Angeles County each year, delivering approximately 107,000 meals and hope, the recipients will undoubtedly sense the remarkable spirit of the person who made it all happen.
