Cactus Jack To Present Virgil Abloh’s 2024 Invitational

As a devoted follower of Virgil Abloh and his groundbreaking work, I eagerly await the 2024 Invitational. This year’s event, with Cactus Jack and Supreme on board, is set to be nothing short of spectacular. The merging of art, fashion, music, and sport under one roof is a testament to Virgil’s visionary approach and his knack for bringing together diverse communities.

2024’s Virgil Abloh Invitational promises to be the most magnificent installment yet of this annual event. This year’s skate day, being the third since its 2022 debut, will see Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack stepping up as the main collaborator for the invitational. Additionally, Supreme is also joining the party as a new, first-time sponsor.

In a press statement, it’s highlighted that Cactus Jack’s diverse cultural impact will be showcased prominently, combining elements of art, clothing style, music, and sports. The brand aims to create an engaging environment where visitors can truly immerse themselves, providing unique skate features tailor-made for the event, as well as limited edition merchandise available on-site, jointly developed with Architecture for a collaborative, one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

2024 brings us the annual Virgil Abloh Invitational, co-organized by Architecture and Virgil Abloh Securities, which will once again take over Miami, Florida’s Lot 11 Skate Park on December 7. This exciting event promises a variety of activities, such as free skateboarding classes, screenprinting workshops, an open skate session, and the much-anticipated Abloh Invitational demo featuring top professional skaters from across the nation.

The late designer’s widow, Shannon Abloh, expressed that it is an extraordinary honor to repay the community through an activity deeply connected to Virgil’s creative journey. We aim to carry on this tradition for many years and are excited about the skating community’s eventual return to Lot 11 park.

Additionally present at the venue will be the official event photographers, led by Atiba Jefferson; video coverage by Davonte Jolly; design contributions from Jonathan Olivares; and our valued sponsor, Jarritos, joining us on-site as well.

The third yearly Abloh Invitational is set to honor Virgil Abloh’s legacy and his dedication to uniting communities via creative partnerships… The event will serve as a tribute to Virgil’s aspiration to motivate future generations through groundbreaking, inclusive events,” the statement reveals.

Stay tuned as more information arises.
