As someone who has grown up with Ananya Panday and her childhood friends Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor, I can attest to their unbreakable bond that transcends time. Their friendship seems as timeless as the classic Bollywood song Sheila Ki Jawani, which they have turned into a memorable dance tradition. It’s fascinating to see them embody Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in their rendition of this iconic track.
As an over-the-moon admirer, I’m here to spill the beans about my beloved, Ananya Panday! This radiant star, currently promoting her freshly launched series, “Call Me Bae,” cherishes a heartwarming bond with her childhood pals, Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor. You see, our girl Ananya frequently chats about her special relationship with these two lovely ladies, affectionately known as Suhana and Shanaya.
In a recent chat with Ishq Tak, Ananya Panday was asked about the song she frequently listens to with her group of friends, which she affectionately calls ‘bae’. Disclosing one of their shared favorites, Ananya revealed that she and Shanaya often groove to the tune of Sheila Ki Jawani.
In her own words, the actress shared that “Sheila Ki Jawaani” from the movie Tees Maar Khan is a song that our group of friends will always be ready to dance to when it plays… and interestingly enough, this tune happens to be Shanaya’s personal favorite.
As Ananya made hand gestures, she went on to explain that every time the song plays, she mimics Akshay Kumar’s character in it, while Shanaya transforms herself into Katrina Kaif’s role as Sheila.
Earlier, Ananya Panday made news due to the premiere of Call Me Bae in Mumbai. Accompanying Ananya were her friends Suhana Khan and Shanaya Kapoor at the screening. While Suhana stepped out with her alleged boyfriend, Agastya Nanda who co-stars in The Archies, Shanaya was seen posing for photos on her own.
Speaking with TopMob, Ananya Panday recently shared insights about her friendship with Shanaya Kapoor, addressing any potential industry competition concerns. Ananya clarified that Shanaya has always been her dear friend, long before Shanaya made her industry debut.
The Call Me Bae actress mentioned that our friendship goes way back, to a time when I would sleep on Shanaya’s mother’s growing belly while she was still in the womb. Essentially, we were friends even before we were born. Therefore, there’s no rivalry involved. It feels more like a family bond.
For the uninitiated, Sheila Ki Jawani was crooned by Sunidhi Chauhan and Vishal Dadlani.
