As a long-time Call of Duty fan, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement as we approach Modern Warfare 3 Season 5. The return of Valeria Gaza, a character with such an intriguing backstory and memorable presence in the CoDverse, is truly a blast from the past that I’m looking forward to.
In the realm of Call of Duty, the law of cause and effect holds true, and as we prepare for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone’s fifth season, a familiar face is set to leave her imprint on the Call of Duty universe once more. Amidst the excitement for Black Ops 6’s impressive roster, MW3 still has some tricks up its sleeve.
Though we can’t hide our disappointment that the planned Deadpool and Wolverine team-up isn’t happening just yet, there’s plenty to look forward to in Season 5. The lineup includes a WWE collaboration, a hint of Verdansk’s potential Warzone comeback, and much more. One of the most exciting developments? The return of our beloved “mommy.”
Valeria gives us a blast from the past in Modern Warfare 3 Season 5
Valeria has been the star of two Call of Duty seasons so far:

Online gaming enthusiasts have pointed out that the visual promotional material for Modern Warfare 3’s Season 5 bears a strong likeness to that of Modern Warfare 2’s Season 3. In April 2023, Valeria Gaza emerged as the face of the game once more. Previously known by her nickname El Sin Nombre, Valeria was a former Mexican Special Forces operative who worked alongside Alejandro Vargas. However, she later turned against her comrades and became an outlaw.
In MW2’s Season 3, I had a short but impactful appearance as the antagonist Valeria after managing to break free from custody. Hinting at a potential comeback, actor María Elisa Camargo spilled the beans back in November with a sneak peek of herself donning a mocap suit and flaunting the MW3 emblem.
In the latest development, Valeria had rallied her soldiers at Al Mazrah, while Alejandro was assigned with the mission to locate her. The specifics of Valeria’s role in Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 are yet to be clarified, but it is anticipated that she will be the primary antagonist as her narrative unfolds. Furthermore, intriguingly, the promotional artwork reveals the introduction of two new Operators whose backgrounds are shrouded in mystery.
I’ve been following Valeria’s storyline in this game for quite some time now, and I must admit, I’m thrilled to hear that she’ll be making her long-awaited return on July 24. As a dedicated player, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation at the prospect of having Valeria back in the game. Her schemes are legendary, and her charisma is unmatched. I’ve seen her headline two seasons already, and let me tell you, she’s the hottest operator in this game. Her presence brings a certain energy that’s hard to replicate. So, here’s to Valeria’s return – may it be as explosive and unforgettable as ever!
A supporter of Val expressed, “She truly reigns as queen,” while another exclaimed, “I’m fully purchasing the season pass and her new outfits. I’m ecstatic that my Latin mother figure is returning!” However, some voices were less enthused, grumbling that it seems like a repetition of Modern Warfare 2 Season 3.
Whether lazy editing or a genuine continuation of Val’s arc, there are obvious concerns that we’ll be shelling out even more money for a slight tweak to her base skin. We’ll admit that her Rupture BlackCell skin was pretty cool, but alongside a gripping story, we want Valeria to get some badass outfits that matches her personality.
