This year, German filmmaker Maren Ade (known for “Toni Erdmann” and “Everyone Else”) has been appointed to lead two prestigious juries: one for the Short Film Competition at Cannes, and another for the La Cinef selection of student films.
Ade is being joined by a diverse group in his jury duty: Reinaldo Marcus Green, who directed “King Richard,” Camélia Jordana, a popular French singer-songwriter, Nebojša Slijepčević, the Croatian director of “The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent,” and José María Prado, a former Director of Filmoteca Española. This team will be bestowing the Short Film Palme d’Or and the 3 La Cinef prizes collectively.
