Ventura initially revealed that she was pregnant with her third child by her spouse, Alex Fine, on February 19th. She unveiled this news through a picture showing her with a growing belly, along with Fine and their two daughters.

The couple reportedly welcomed a baby boy.

The news emerged approximately ten days following Ventura’s four-day court testimony, which took place while she was eight-and-a-half months pregnant during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ criminal trial. As a longtime partner of Combs for eleven years, Ventura played a crucial role in the prosecution by offering essential testimony, as her name appeared as “Victim-1” on the indictment against the former business magnate.

In September, the head of Bad Boy Records and a prominent figure in fashion was accused of crimes related to human trafficking, organized crime activities (racketeering), and arranging prostitution. He has denied all these allegations; if found guilty, he may be sentenced to spend anywhere from 15 years up to life in prison.

During her entire testimony, Ventura described a harrowing account spanning over a decade of alleged abusive behavior such as coercive control, manipulation, extortion, drug use, and instances of unwanted sexual encounters with male sex workers who were reportedly compelled by Combs. In great detail, she went on to discuss her intimate relationship with Combs, focusing particularly on the infamous “freak-offs” sexual marathons, his physical abuse, and other disturbing aspects.

Trouble with the law and his subsequent arrest for Combs came after Ventura’s lawsuit filed in 2023, which alleged a decade of both physical and sexual abuse. A video, originally published by CNN in May, showed Combs physically attacking Ventura in 2016.

In a post on Instagram, she expressed that an overwhelming sense of affection allows her current self to find peace and security, which was long overdue. However, this is just the start, as she emphasized. The pervasive issue of domestic violence was what shattered me into someone I never wished to be. With immense effort, I’ve made progress, but my past continues to heal. I am a work in progress, always recovering from my history.

After Ventura testified, Alex Fine, her husband, issued a statement through media outlets, which was then read aloud by their lawyer, Douglas Wigdor.

For the last five days, people worldwide have seen the courage and resilience of my spouse as she overcomes her past. There’s been much discussion online about how I might be feeling while listening to my wife’s testimony. I’ve experienced an array of emotions in that moment. I’ve felt immense pride and boundless love for Cass, and I’ve felt deep-rooted anger knowing she had to endure testifying against someone who tried to harm her. He said, “Let me make it clear: To him, his accomplices, and those who aided him – you did not succeed. You didn’t crush her spirit or her radiant smile that illuminates every space. You didn’t shatter the heart of a mother who gives the warmest embraces and plays the most joyful games with our daughters. You didn’t destroy the woman who has transformed me into a better person.

He went on to clarify, “It’s important to correct a misunderstanding. I didn’t save Cassie, contrary to some reports. In truth, Cassie rescued herself. She bravely escaped the grip of abuse, manipulation, violence, and intimidation. It was her immense courage that battled the monstrous challenges only she could have faced. All I’ve done is offer her love, as she has given me hers. Her life now thrives with love, joy, and our family. We’ve closed this terrible chapter of our lives for good, and we won’t be making further comments on the matter. We’re grateful for all the kindness and support we’ve received, and we kindly ask for privacy as we welcome our newborn son into a world that owes its safety in part to his mother.
