As a dedicated CBS fan, I’m thrilled to see the network’s strategic plan for their fall debuts in 2024-25. The decision to load up the majority of premieres in a single week in October is a brilliant move that will surely create buzz and excitement among viewers.
In the 2024-25 television season, CBS will unveil most of its new fall shows during one week in October, establishing a unique premiere week for the network about a month after the standard start of the season.
In the week of October 14th, CBS’s lineup will showcase eleven new season and series premieres. Two of these introductions are for the network’s freshman series: the two-hour debut of “NCIS: Origins” on October 14th, which is a prequel to the original “NCIS,” and the follow-up to “Young Sheldon,” titled “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage,” premiering on October 17th. The network will air the debuts of its Kathy Bates-led “Matlock” update and competition series “The Summit” on Sundays, initially targeting a large NFL audience in primetime, before they eventually settle into their regular Thursday and Wednesday night slots.

Meanwhile, sitcoms “The Neighborhood” and “Poppa’s House” are scheduled for October 21. Last but not least, don’t miss out on “Tracker,” which was last season’s most-watched series, and the action-packed “The Equalizer,” both premiering on October 27.
