The rise in political violence is no accident.
If you were consuming only traditional media sources, it might seem that established political avenues couldn’t prevent Donald Trump and his so-called Fourth Reich. For instance, CNN has accused the President of causing a federal employee’s death, but their claim lacks any substantial proof whatsoever.
Some stars are making matters worse.
Translate Jimmy Kimmel, the comedian with left-leaning views, who previously downplayed President Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities, recently criticized President Donald Trump in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
Indeed, it’s quite common and even expected to critique politicians, particularly among comedians. However, Jimmy Kimmel didn’t just settle for that; he went further with his comments.
Consider the language used in this excerpt from the interview.
He remarked, “There’s no sense of morality; they behave like wild creatures instead, and it’s appalling.” Regarding the Fourth of July, he stated, “I continue to fly the flag, and I always will. I refuse to allow them to claim that symbol, as I will never cease celebrating our nation’s independence.
Republicans can’t have the American flag? Interesting…
In response, comedian Amber Ruffin didn’t hold back in her recent political critique, harshly criticizing Trump’s inner circle. Originally scheduled to perform at the White House Correspondents’ Association gala later this month, the association decided to withdraw the invitation after recognizing that her performance would skew heavily against the Trump administration, potentially giving the event a somewhat biased appearance.
Legacy Media is far, far worse than merely “biased,” but journalists love to cosplay otherwise.
In this podcast discussion, Ruffin made some comments concerning Trump’s associates. It’s plausible that these leaked remarks might have contributed to her dismissal.
Playing to both sides “makes them feel like human beings,” she said, “’cause they’re not.”
Additionally, she likened Trump’s close associates to individuals who commit murder, a statement that transcends political disagreements with Trump.
Which brings us to Tina Fey.
Fey recounted tales about her recent tour with old friend Amy Poehler. During this tour, they revived their “Weekend Update” segment from “Saturday Night Live.” One of the skits they performed took aim at DOGE creator Elon Musk, sparking intrigue among their spectators.
At the initial Detroit performance in April, a segment of 15 minutes showcased new content featuring a witty remark about Elon Musk accompanied by an image of a flaming Tesla on screen. This humor resonated strongly with the packed audience, primarily consisting of white women, one of whom was my mother. The reaction was a deafening mix of laughter and screams.
Vandalism is funny, right?
During the interview, it was revealed that Fey opted out of taking a picture with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan. The reason being she wasn’t certain about his political views. It’s important to note that although Duggan is currently a Democrat, he plans to run as an independent in future elections.
It’s lucky for her that she avoided a potential disagreement or misunderstanding by not taking a photo with someone whose views differ significantly from hers.
Excessive responses from media outlets and celebrities contribute to the reason that the American public has grown disillusioned, not only with traditional news sources, but also with Hollywood personalities.
