Chad Michael Collins to Star in Mind-Bending Action Horror War Movie ‘Recoil’

Undoubtedly undervalued among action movie stars, he is poised to deliver more heart-pounding excitement in his upcoming horror-action venture titled “Recoil.” This actor, who has been at the pinnacle of the action star hierarchy since spearheading and continuing to lead the enduring “Sniper” series since 2011, will grace us with his presence in this film. “Recoil” blends action-thriller elements with supernatural horror, promising an exceptional gem within the genre.

The upcoming film “Recoil” is slated to be helmed by Nick Robertson, who previously directed “The Pack”. Producers Michael Robertson and Chris Wheeldon, having worked together on the survival thriller “Black Water”, are set to produce this project as well. As reported by Deadline, “Recoil” will take place in a merciless desert and is characterized as a pulse-pounding war thriller that introduces a surprising supernatural element. This twist promises to grab your attention from the opening scene and hold it tight throughout.

Three soldiers stranded, a stationary military vehicle, the merciless desert, and a chilling curse twisting their reality into a horrifying dream-like state. This isn’t merely another film about war in the Middle East; it delves deep into the psychological, physical, and fearsome aspects of conflict.

‘Recoil’ Promises To Be a “Powerful Mix of Action, Suspense, and Horror”

In Nick Robertson’s statement regarding the film ‘Recoil’, he expressed eagerness for audiences to feel the raw power of its intensity, being the first feature movie based on Australia’s participation in the worldwide ‘War on Terror’. He is eagerly anticipating collaborating with Alliance Media Partners towards this goal. On the other hand, Anthony Buckner, Head of Sales and Acquisitions at Alliance Media Partners, characterized the project as a potent blend of action, tension, and horror, offering a fresh perspective to the war film genre.

Currently, Chad Michael Collins is widely recognized by action enthusiasts as the main star of the Sniper-Verse franchise. The series originated with the 1993 film “Sniper,” led by Tom Berenger. After a number of sequels, Collins stepped into the role as Brandon Beckett, the son of Berenger’s character Thomas. Starting in 2011’s “Sniper: Reloaded,” Collins has been instrumental in establishing the Sniper-Verse as one of the lesser-known yet highly appreciated series within the action genre. Some of his notable appearances include “Sniper: Legacy” (2014), “Sniper: Ghost Shooter” (2016), “Sniper: Ultimate Kill” (2017), “Sniper: Assassin’s End” (2020), “Sniper: Rogue Mission” (2022), and the upcoming “Sniper: G.R.I.T. – Global Response & Intelligence Team” (2023).

The upcoming sequel titled “Sniper: The Last Stand” will debut on Netflix on May 6, 2025. However, the “last stand” may not be its final act, as it appears that the Sniper series is set to carry on, with a new installment already in development, as revealed by Collins recently.
