As a long-time fan of heartwarming holiday films and a connoisseur of dance performances, I am absolutely thrilled about Netflix’s upcoming release of The Merry Gentlemen! Britt Robertson’s character’s determination to save her parents’ small-town venue is something that resonates deeply with me, having spent countless hours supporting local arts myself.
Netflix is all set to infuse some holiday cheer with a dash of excitement as they unveil the trailer for “The Merry Gentlemen“, which dropped on Thursday.
As a dedicated admirer, I’m eagerly looking forward to the upcoming trailer. In it, Britt Robertson portrays Ashley, once a vibrant dancer in bustling cities, who is now on a mission to prevent her small-town gem, The Rhythm Room, from shutting its doors for good. To attract more patrons, she’s devising an innovative strategy: an all-male, festive Christmas revue.
Ashley expresses, ‘We’re aiming to create a spectacle unlike anything this town has ever witnessed for our upcoming show.’
Working together with Chad Michael Murray, who plays both the romantic lead and contractor Luke, and the team at The Rhythm Room, Ashley devises a fresh holiday performance called “The Merry Gentlemen”. This production can be likened to a more family-friendly version of “Magic Mike” during the holiday season. While the show is generating plenty of buzz, there’s also a chance that romantic sparks might ignite between Ashley and Luke.
Marla Sokoloff, Beth Broderick, Michael Gross, Maxwell Caulfield, Hector David Jr., Colt Prattes, and Marc Anthony Samuel are among the main cast members.
In this movie, it was Peter Sullivan who took on the director’s role, while Sokoloff handled the scriptwriting duties. The production team consisted of Jeffrey Schenck, Barry Barnholtz, Brian Nolan, and, of course, Peter Sullivan.
The Merry Gentlemen joins a lineup of holiday films set to premiere on Netflix including Our Little Secret starring Lindsay Lohan, Meet Me Next Christmas starring Christina Milian and Hot Frosty starring Lacey Chabert.
The Merry Gentlemen will release globally on Netflix on Nov. 20.
