There appears to be limited information available regarding Greta Gerwig’s forthcoming Netflix adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia, but it seems that one significant aspect has come to light.
It has been announced that Charli XCX might take on the role of Jadis, the White Witch, in an upcoming film, although this isn’t officially confirmed yet. There are whispers of a deal being finalized. The project was initially unveiled by Netflix back in 2018 as part of their plans to develop films and series based on C.S. Lewis’ works. Greta Gerwig joined the team in 2020 for adaptation and direction. As of now, the film is slated for a two-week global IMAX premiere during Thanksgiving week in 2026.
After wrapping up her record-breaking “Barbie” movie, Greta Gerwig is now moving on to direct her next project. This highly successful film garnered numerous Oscar nominations and even won the original song “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas. Charli XCX’s track “Speed Drive” was also featured in the “Barbie” movie. Keep an eye out for future updates regarding casting for Gerwig’s upcoming “Narnia” film.
