Chicago Med’s Big Casting News Fits In Quite Nicely With What I’m Hoping Will Happen In The Bear Season 4

As a connoisseur of the small screen and a dedicated follower of Chicago-based dramas, I can’t help but feel like fate is aligning perfectly for me. The recent announcement about Sarah Ramos joining the One Chicago cast has sent ripples of excitement through my heart, especially considering her previous stints on The Bear.

I’ve been frequently incorporating both “Chicago Med” and “The Bear” into my sentences lately. Not too long ago, there was a buzz about NBC’s 2024 TV lineup, and it was announced that Sarah Ramos, a former cast member of “Parenthood”, would be rejoining the network for a role in the One Chicago series. This tidbit is exciting on its own, but what really gets me pumped is the potential connection it hints at with my expectations for “The Bear” Season 4.

Hey there! You know, Sarah Ramos has popped up a bit on “The Bear” over the last couple of seasons. First, she was the impressive maître d’hôtel Jessica that Richie met at Ever when he was staging. That was during Season 1. Then, in Season 3, as Ever prepared to close its doors for good, Jessica reappeared. It seems like her future and everyone else on staff is up in the air right now. There’s definitely a spark between her and Richie, but we don’t know if they’ll keep things strictly professional or not. Their storyline’s still unfolding, so stay tuned!

Currently, Ramos’ role on “Chicago Med” suggests she will spend a significant amount of time in Chicago, which coincidentally is where “The Bear” is filmed as well. Interestingly, it’s not just her who could be involved with both series, as other cast members also appear in both shows.

There’s a pattern set previously with Oliver Platt, who plays the restaurant’s financial supporter and humorous Uncle Jimmy in The Bear, as well as a character on Chicago Med. Platt himself has praised both shows for allowing him to film for both series. Similarly, if the Hulu series decides to bring back Ramos for Season 4, it’s possible they would accommodate her in a similar manner.

For me, Richie’s journey on the show has been particularly rewarding. Watching him discover new methods in the restaurant industry and mature as both a worker and an individual following his divorce has been captivating. In one scenario, Jessica might work alongside him at The Bear, while in another, she could be involved with Richie’s personal growth after his split.

Interestingly enough, there’s another plot thread in this series that centers around Sydney refusing to sign her contract and potentially being lured away by Adam Shapiro from Ever. This could lead to Jessica entering the scene as a rival restaurant owner. To put it simply, I’m more eager about a potential ‘Team Ressica’ storyline than I am about Adam Shapiro’s restaurant succeeding, but whatever the script holds, one of my main questions going into the next season is whether Ramos will make another appearance or not.

Although no formal announcement has been made by Hulu and FX, this recent casting offers the actress a chance to appear in both shows. Moreover, her impressive performances in “Parenthood” and “The Bear” have caught my attention, and it’s heartening to see her dedication being rewarded with notable roles. Regardless of future developments, I believe the path is clear for her to reprise her role, and I will eagerly follow along using my Hulu subscription.

“The Bear on Hulu is among the best shows, improving like fine wine over time. Similarly, Chicago Med boasts one of television’s most devoted fanbases. Balancing between the two would be an excellent position.”
