Just a short while ago, a minor blaze in Pacific Palisades, Southern California was identified, and things have escalated quickly since then; not one, but four fires in the region have grown rapidly and are now spreading uncontrollably. Given that many celebrities have relocated from LA recently, it’s no wonder that numerous stars residing nearby are impacted by this fire, while others express gratitude towards the firefighters working tirelessly to contain it.
Chris Pratt posted a message of prayers and thanks to Instagram last night, asking people to pray for those affected by the fires and thank the firefighters who are doing the work to try and put it out. While the actor doesn’t mention it here, he and his family are among those impacted. Pratt has a home in the Pacific Palisades area he is currently trying to sell. Last year, Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger knocked down a historic home in Brentwood, just south of the fire’s location, where they plan to build a new home.

Pratt’s sentiment of support for the firefighters was echoed by The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan. He posted to Instagram a message thanking those fighting the fires and asking people to listen to those people attempting to evacuate the area.

Mark Hamill is one actor who has had a more personal impact. He reported on Instagram last night that he had to be evacuated from his home in Malibu. He has now taken up residence at the home of his daughter Chelsea, which is far enough away that it should remain safe.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are among those who have fled due to the approaching fire. They’ve shared updates on TikTok as the blaze neared their residence more and more. One of Pratt’s videos highlights how close the fire, which originated in Topanga State Park, came to urban areas. Now, it’s being said that their home has been ruined by the fire.

It’s uncertain how many homes have been affected so far, but Star Trek: The Next Generation actress Denise Crosby has expressed concern that her historic home (over 100 years old) might be among those lost. She shared on Twitter that while her family is safe, the fate of their residence is unclear.
I’ve seen some famous faces lend a hand during these trying times, too. Iconic ’80s actor Steve Gutenberg, best remembered for his roles in the Police Academy series, was spotted chatting with KTLA about the challenges residents have faced when evacuating, particularly due to vehicles being left abandoned on main roads in this area.
As powerful gusts fuel the blaze, the situation may deteriorate further before improvement sets in. Our sympathies go out to everyone forced to flee, and we can only hope that no one loses their life during this incident.
