Christian Horner, Star of Netflix’s F1 Series ‘Drive to Survive,’ Fired as Red Bull Team Principal

Christian Horner, the spouse of former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and prominent figure in the Netflix hit Formula One docuseries “Drive to Survive,” has been let go from his position as Red Bull team principal with immediate effect.

Approximately one and a half years following allegations of sexual harassment and abusive, domineering conduct towards a female staff member, Horner was dismissed from his position. Subsequently, an investigation conducted by the team’s parent company Red Bull GmBH found no evidence to support these claims against the British individual.

Starting today, Christian Horner is no longer performing operational tasks for Red Bull, as stated by the company in a recent announcement,” translates to: “From today onwards, Christian Horner will no longer be carrying out operational duties at Red Bull, according to a statement made by the company.

Due to the exceptional performance of their star driver, Max Verstappen, the team has enjoyed significant victories in recent times, capturing multiple Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championship trophies. Earlier, from 2010 to 2013, they reigned supreme as Sebastian Vettel clinched four consecutive titles for them.

Christian Horner is no longer the team principal and CEO at Red Bull Racing; instead, Laurent Mekies, who was previously with the junior team Racing Bulls, has been promoted to these positions.
