60-year-old Christian Juttner, who graced the screens in movies like “Return From Witch Mountain”, “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”, and “The Swarm” during the 1970s, as well as numerous TV shows, has sadly passed away.
Juttner passed away on November 29, due to natural reasons, at his residence in Yucca Valley, California. His daughter, Aidan Juttner, confirmed this to The Hollywood Reporter.
In 1978, the movies “Return From Witch Mountain“, “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” and “The Swarm” were all released in cinemas just five months apart from each other.
In the sequel “Return From Witch Mountain,” he played Dazzler, a member of the group known as the Earthquake Gang who skipped school. Additionally, in his first feature film directed by Robert Zemeckis, titled “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” he was cast as the boy with a Beatles-inspired hairstyle who was determined to witness The Beatles perform on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in February 1964.
In “Return From Witch Mountain,” he enacted Dazzler, a member of the Earthquake Gang who played hooky. Furthermore, in his debut film directed by Robert Zemeckis, named “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” he was chosen to portray the boy with a Beatles-style hairdo, who was set on seeing The Beatles perform on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in February 1964.)
In the movie “The Swarm,” directed by Irwin Allen, the character Juttner was depicted as a boy tormented by visions of colossal bees assaulting him, given that his parents had tragically perished due to bee stings.
Christian John Juttner hails from Pomona, California, born specifically on May 20th, 1964. His dad, named John, was a multi-faceted businessman who managed a beauty salon, an art gallery, and on the island of St. Croix, ran a commercial glass company.
I was first introduced to acting by my mom, Marlene, who kindled my passion for it. My debut on-screen role was featured in a 1972 episode of ABC’s beloved series, Bewitched.
During the inaugural season (1976-77) of the television show “The Bionic Woman“, which aired on ABC, Juttner appeared as one of Jamie Sommers’ (played by Lindsay Wagner) students at Ventura Air Force Base.
Additionally, he made appearances in seven episodes of “The Magical World of Disney,” two “ABC Afterschool Specials,” several episodes of “Emergency!”, “The Rookies,” “Ironside,” “Medical Center,” “Wonder Woman,” “Lou Grant,” and “Alice.
In the San Fernando Valley, he studied at Birmingham High School. Later, he collaborated with his father in St. Croix. Upon returning to Southern California, he established a glassworking enterprise of his own. Additionally, he delved into the art of special effects makeup.
Beyond my mom, Aidan, and my ex-wife Ann, I’m also fortunate to have survived alongside my daughter Ryan, my son Lucas, and my sister Shelley. We stand together in this new world, a gaming team of sorts, ready to face whatever challenges may come our way.
