Claws & Chaos is madcap animal mayhem with autochess and a quirky story, now in pre-registration

Parhelion Studios is set to debut Claws & Chaos, their fast-paced auto-battler game, on mobile devices starting February 27th. The auto-chess features will let you showcase your strategic skills as you lead charming woodland creatures in a quest for revenge against a king who betrayed them, with both campaign and PvP content available.

From the look of the trailer, it seems there’s a hint of familiarity with Super Auto Pets, but with an even zanier cast of characters to pick from. The storyline is just as offbeat, and you find yourself on a mission to take down King Chipmunk – the one who allegedly kept me out of a boat during a flood! In terms of multiplayer, there’s the Arena for asynchronous battles, and another mode called Rapture.

What really draws me in is the adorable costumes of the characters – for example, there’s a bear that appears to be from Harry Potter with what looks like the Elder Wand, and a cat dressed in a suspect outfit reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed.

In this scene, we have an unusual penguin, dressed as a schoolgirl who apparently did poorly on an exam, a bald eagle donned in military camouflage, a capybara relaxing in a wheeled, wooden bathtub filled with water (resembling a traditional Japanese onsen), adorned with a yuzu lemon on its head. And let me tell you, when capybaras are involved, there’s always a good time to be had!
