As a dedicated Concord player, I can’t help but be thrilled about the depth and strategy that the game brings to the table, and one of its most intriguing features is the Crew Builder system.
In each game at Concord, there are up to 16 characters you could pick from. However, you’re restricted to selecting a maximum of 12.
As a long-time fan of this game, I can tell you that managing a successful crew is no easy task. But with the introduction of the Crew Builder feature, my life as a gamer has become significantly easier and more enjoyable. Now, instead of having to sift through countless Freegunners to find the best ones for each match, I can simply select my favorites from the roster and let the system do the rest. It’s a game-changer for someone like me who values efficiency and strategy in their gaming experience.
What is the Crew Builder in Concord?
In simpler terms, Concord’s Crew Builder enables you to make personalized groups of champions for your selection during each battle. With 12 spots in a team called Freegunners, it is necessary to exclude at least 4 characters from the lineup, excluding variations.
From the get-go, you’re provided a pre-existing Team to initiate gameplay, boasting an assorted roster in each class. Yet, as soon as your level advances past the threshold of 6, you’ll be granted the freedom to construct personalized Squads, even allowing for multiple iterations of the same Freebooter.
There are a few rules you need to know about when creating a custom Crew:
- You must include 12 Freegunners in total
- Five of those must be unique
- There’s a maximum limit of three variants per Freegunner
To maintain a diverse crew during gameplay, these rules prevent having more than one of each character on the battlefield at a time. If you wish to play with a specific character like 1-Off but find that your teammate has already chosen him, you’ll have to select another character instead.
If you find yourself missing key crew members during a match’s progress, take comfort in knowing that you have the option to switch out four alternate crew members. The game randomly selects crew for both teams, so there’s a good chance these substitutes will fit nicely into your current setup.
You have the ability to form various teams with distinct crews for different types of matches. For instance, I’ve chosen an ideal crew for Team Deathmatch, while another one is more effective in the more strategic, respawn-less game modes.
Crew Bonuses explained
In simpler terms, Crew Bonuses are rewards you gain by utilizing various character classes during the same game. Each Freebooter class offers unique benefits, which remain active even when you switch to another character and respawn.
Here are all the different Crew Bonuses for each class:
- Anchor: Increased healing received
- Breacher: Faster dodge cooldown
- Haunt: Improved mobility
- Ranger: Improved weapon recoil
- Tactician: Faster reload speed
- Warden: Longer weapon range
If you were to die and come back to life five times, each time adopting a new character class, you would accumulate all the Crew Bonuses by the time of your fifth revival.
As a gamer, I understand that sometimes my current team isn’t cutting it in the game. Instead of sticking with what’s not working, I suggest trying out new character combinations, also known as custom Crews. By being open to experimentation and switching things up, we can increase our chances of finding success and enjoying the game even more.
