As a die-hard movie buff who has witnessed the evolution of Hollywood from the front row, I can confidently say that Dakota Johnson’s journey in the industry is nothing short of inspiring. Her reminiscing about her early days on set with Justin Timberlake in “The Social Network” is a testament to the fact that even the most casual encounters can shape our lives in ways we never imagined.
Dakota Johnson is reminiscing about one of her early acting gigs where she shared the screen with Justin Timberlake in the movie known as “The Social Network“.
During her recent chat with Vanity Fair, the actress was questioned whether she held any notions or expectations regarding the “SexyBack” star prior to their collaboration on the 2010 David Fincher film.
Did you seriously ask? I was only 19 years old when I found myself playfully tugging at Justin Timberlake’s face with my hair. Initially, I had certain assumptions about him, but he turned out to be incredibly charming, considerate, and gracious towards a total stranger.
In “The Social Network” movie, we see a fictional account of Mark Zuckerberg’s creation of the social media platform that eventually became known as Facebook, along with the lawsuits and disputes that ensued afterwards. Jesse Eisenberg played Zuckerberg, while Timberlake took on the role of Sean Parker, who founded Napster and served as the first president of Facebook.
Johnson mentioned that since it was ‘The Social Network’ directed by David Fincher, we rehearsed it so often that she felt like she belonged, knew every line, and still recognized the scene where she portrayed a Stanford University student who wakes up with Parker after a night of partying.
The actress who plays Madame Web remarked, ‘I’ve done it so many times, it seems as if I’m remembering it and living it again now.’ Perhaps I experienced some emotional distress,” she added.
The Social Network ultimately took home three Oscars, with accolades for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Original Score.
