As a dedicated gamer and avid follower of the TV industry, I’m absolutely thrilled about Dan Stevens joining the cast of “The Terror” for its third season! With his impressive resume that includes hit shows like “Abigail,” “Legion,” and “Downton Abbey,” I have no doubt that he will bring an unforgettable performance to “The Devil in Silver.”
AMC has found its leading man for the next installment of The Terror.
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be part of the third season of this intriguing anthology series. I’ll be joining the cast, with Dan Stevens taking on a leading role. This new installment is inspired by Victor LaValle’s gripping novel, “The Devil in Silver.” AMC made the announcement back in February, five long years after we last saw new episodes. Not only will I get to act in this captivating production, but I’ll also have a hand behind the scenes as an executive producer. What an exciting journey it promises to be!
In “The Devil in Silver,” the story revolves around Pepper (Stevens), a man mistakenly confined at New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital in Queens. There, he encounters patients trying to hinder him, doctors concealing dark truths, and possibly the Devil himself, according to the series synopsis. As Pepper tries to make sense of this nightmarish world where appearances are deceiving, he realizes that his only chance for liberation lies in confronting the malevolent force lurking within New Hyde’s confines. Yet, this confrontation may reveal that the most terrifying demons reside deep within him.
Chris Cantwell and LaValle are in charge of both writing and producing the upcoming project. Karyn Kusama will be the initial director, overseeing the first two episodes, while also taking on the role of executive producer.
Stevens expressed his excitement in a statement: “I’m delighted to join ‘The Terror: Devil in Silver’. This show is a haunting blend of psychological horror and suspense, promising to leave viewers on the edge of their seats. Victor LaValle, Christopher Cantwell, and the talented team have created a chilling and intricate tale filled with devils and shadows. I’m eager to contribute an epic performance that will resonate deeply, like a tolling bell in an eerie hall.”
In 2018, the initial installment of The Terror unveiled its first season with crews from two ships getting trapped in the Arctic ice during a 19th century expedition. They were haunted by an otherworldly threat. For the second season, titled Infamy, the story shifted to a Japanese internment camp during World War II and introduced a vengeful spirit seeking retribution.
With Cantwell, LaValle, Kusama, and Stevens serving as executive producers, Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker of Scott Free Productions, Alexandra Milchan and Scott Lambert of Emjag Productions, Guymon Casady of Entertainment 360, and Brooke Kennedy also join in this capacity for the production of “The Terror: Devil in Silver.” The six-episode season is scheduled to debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2025.
