Dancing With The Stars' Elimination Delivered A Shocker In Season 33's Penultimate Episode, And It Was Totally The Right Call

As a seasoned Dancing With The Stars viewer who has witnessed countless eliminations and unexpected twists, I must say that this Season 33 Semi-Finals episode was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! I’ve seen my fair share of upsets, but the last-minute announcement that every remaining couple will compete in the finale has left me utterly thrilled. It’s been a while since an ending was this buzzworthy since Anna Delvey’s exit, and I can’t help but feel like I’m in for a real treat with the finale!

Heads up! What I’m about to share is a sneak peek into the Semi-Finals of Dancing With The Stars Season 33. If you don’t want the surprise ruined, make sure you’re subscribed to Disney+ and proceed with caution! Enjoy the stream!

I’ve graciously let go of my disappointment towards “Dancing With The Stars” for the upset it caused me with the Instant Dance Challenge last week. I thought the surprises were done and dusted since we moved on to the Semi-Finals, but the Season 33 penultimate episode threw a final twist at us fans – no one was eliminated, and every remaining pair will dance in the finale instead! It turned out to be a fantastic conclusion for the episode.

Learning that this week’s scores will contribute to the grand finale feels a tad underwhelming, but I believe ABC made the correct decision. We haven’t experienced such a captivating episode ending since Anna Delvey‘s dismissal, and it was an ideal approach to build anticipation for the Season 33 finale of Dancing With The Stars. Here’s why:

No One Would’ve Been Happy With Ilona or Stephen Going Home

If the elimination process tonight wasn’t a trick and indeed Ilona Maher or Stephen Nedoroscik were in danger of leaving, I was all set to pen a rather dismal response. These two athletes have consistently given their best this season, with Ilona Maher captivating us all with her stunning ‘Encanto’ dance, and Stephen Nedoroscik winning hearts since his viral pommel horse performance.

Among the contestants, these two pairs have demonstrated the greatest weekly progress, although they might not always rank first on the leaderboard. However, I believe they could easily secure a victory if they perform well in the upcoming dances and receive support from viewers.

Any Of These Remaining Couples Could Win It All In The Finale With The Right Dance

It seems that the competition for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy isn’t limited to just Ilona Maher and Stephen Nedoroscik. In fact, every remaining competitor has a strong chance of taking home the trophy. While Chandler Kinney and Joey Graziadei have been consistently impressive throughout the season, don’t count out contestants like Danny Amendola. I believe he could be the surprise winner, but since I’m a New England Patriots fan, there might be a bit of bias involved. It’s interesting to note that his dancing partner, Witney Carson, also shares this viewpoint regarding the Instant Dance Challenge.

No matter what, I’ve seen several seasons of Dancing With The Stars where it was obvious who might take home the trophy come the finale. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume that every couple competing in the second-to-last episode could potentially win, and fans would undoubtedly be pleased with any outcome. They all have earned it, having demonstrated their worthiness to advance and compete for the win.

The final episode of “Dancing With The Stars” Season 33 will air on ABC next Tuesday, November 26, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Given all the build-up, it’s an event you certainly don’t want to miss, so remember to set your DVR!
