Dancing With the Stars will, unsurprisingly, hit the floor once again in the 2025-26 TV season.
After delivering an impressive performance during the fall season, I’m thrilled to learn that ABC has decided to bring back DWTS for another exciting run – its 34th season! And the anticipation is already building as they’ve just revealed the first celebrity contestant for this upcoming season: conservationist and TV host Robert Irwin. As we move closer to the premiere, I can hardly wait to find out who else will be joining him on the dance floor!
Since its comeback to ABC in 2023, DWTS has been aired on the broadcast network while also streaming live on Disney+. The following season will continue this trend, and the show will then be available for streaming on Hulu the day after.

Ever since coming back to ABC in 2023, DWTS has been both televised and streamed live on Disney+. Next season, this arrangement remains, with the show being streamable on Hulu a day later.
Back in 2015, I found myself beaming with pride as my big sis, Bindi, took to the “Dancing With the Stars” stage with her partner, Derek Hough. In the show’s 21st season, they danced their way to victory – a moment I was beyond thrilled to witness from the audience.
Dancing With the Stars had an impressive run for its 33rd season, topping all network entertainment series among adults aged 18 to 49 during the fall, with a rating of 0.86 after a week of viewing (excluding streaming). Additionally, it attracted 5.86 million total viewers, which remained consistent compared to its 2023 performance. The season finale, boasting 7.95 million viewers and a 1.55 rating in the same age group, marked the show’s largest audience in over three years.
ABC’s reality hit, “Dancing with the Stars,” has been officially renewed for the 2025-26 season, while “Shark Tank” is currently holding auditions for its 17th season. The network has also greenlit most of its scripted shows for next year, except for the freshman series “Doctor Odyssey,” which is still undecided about its future.
