Apart from an engaging plotline, well-rounded characters, and some intensely gruesome battle sequences, the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again is also delighting many comic book enthusiasts with a surprising abundance of Easter eggs and costumes true to the comics. Although Season 1 was already a treat for Marvel Comics fans, it seems that Season 2 is going all out in catering to its audience, as recent leaked set photos have shown that Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) will don his most famous suit from the comic books.
Thanks to @_DaredevilShots on X (previously Twitter), fans of Daredevil: Born Again have received their most detailed glimpse so far of Matt Murdock donning his revamped Daredevil attire in Season 2. After a long wait of more than a decade, the new costume at last offers Marvel Comics enthusiasts the eagerly anticipated emblematic Daredevil insignia on Murdock’s outfit. The leaked images show Charlie Cox wearing a black suit, echoing his Shadowland suit from the comics. Additionally, there are red highlights on the arms, legs, and torso, with the chest featuring the iconic “DD” emblem.
In the first season of Netflix’s original “Daredevil” series, Matt Murdock donned a suit much like the one depicted, though the one he wore was a makeshift version created by the vigilante. When Daredevil’s new suit was revealed at the end of Season 1, it was so stylish that many fans momentarily overlooked the “DD” insignia on the chest. As Marvel Studios incorporates some of the more eccentric elements from the Daredevil comics in “Daredevil: Born Again”, we’re thrilled that Murdock will now battle crime in New York City while sporting the logo on his chest.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Is in Production
Marvel Studios took a confident step by expressing their high hopes that Daredevil: Born Again would prove successful. In fact, preparations for a second season were already underway before Season 1 even premiered on Disney+. As viewers continue to enjoy the current episodes, Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and the rest of the cast are busy filming for the upcoming second season.
Initially, the blueprint for “Daredevil: Born Again” proposed a stunningly long debut season with 18 episodes. However, following a creative reboot that appointed Dario Scardapane as the new showrunner, it was decided to break it into two separate seasons instead. The first season will consist of nine episodes, while the series is set to return for the remaining nine in the second season. As of now, no official air date has been set for “Daredevil: Born Again’s” second season.
As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that only three episodes remain in Season 1, unlike last week when two were released at once. Each of these final episodes will be rolled out weekly. While Marvel Studios hasn’t given any hints about the character or series beyond Season 2, the captivating storyline thus far has left us yearning for more adventures with Matt Murdock post-Season 2.
