David Byrne Joins Olivia Rodrigo for Surprise Performance of “Burning Down the House” at Governors Ball

On Saturday night at the Governors Ball Music festival, Olivia Rodrigo surprised her fans by inviting David Byrne as a special guest!

A member of the iconic band, Talking Heads, collaborated with the Grammy-winning artist for a live performance of their 1983 classic track, “Burning Down the House.

Following the success of her sold-out GUTS World Tour with 95 dates, Rodrigo has been gracing one festival after another. In a few weeks, she’ll take the stage at Glastonbury 2025 in the U.K., and later this summer, the “bad idea right?” singer will make her first appearance at Lollapalooza.

Significantly, “Burning Down the House” reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it was first released, making it the band’s highest-ranked rock song. This track also garnered the Talking Heads a Grammy nomination during the 26th annual awards ceremony.

This past week, the band unveiled the much anticipated music video for “Psycho Killer”, featuring Oscar-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan in the lead role.
