Pedro Pascal had some competition for his Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, role.
At MCM Comic Con, a fan asked David Tennant which superhero he’d like to portray in a movie, and he shared that he was aiming for the role that Pascal will play in Marvel’s upcoming film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Referring to superheroes, it seemed Reed Richards had caught my attention a bit, but unfortunately, it appears they’ve chosen another path. If I must pick someone else, I’d have to say I’m quite thrilled about Pedro Pascal being cast instead.

The Fabulous Four: Initial Strides” is set to premiere on July 25. This movie features Vanessa Kirby portraying Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach taking on the role of Ben Grimm, Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. In this story, the Fantastic Four find themselves battling an insatiable celestial deity, Galactus, along with his cryptic emissary, the Silver Surfer. Simultaneously, they strive to maintain a delicate equilibrium between their heroic duties and the powerful ties that bind them as a family.
During the MCM Comic Con discussion, the host inquired if Tennant had watched the widely shared Vanity Fair lie detector test video featuring Pascal boasting about being “the bigger daddy” compared to Oscar Isaac. Upon learning that he hadn’t seen it, she playfully asked, “Who do you think is the bigger daddy between you and Pedro Pascal?
The actor from Broadchurch inquired, “What are the conditions?” Then, clarifying his question, he said, “I mean, it’s definitely going to be him because he’s Mister Fantastic, if you understand me fully. I think Pedro Pascal is fantastic. I’m extremely happy that he’s around.
