According to Variety, the screenwriter Matthew Orton, famous for his work on “Captain America: Brave New World,” has been selected by DC to develop the upcoming movie centering around the Batman’s adversaries, Bane and Deathstroke.
At this moment, the movie’s script is being developed, but no director or actors have been officially signed on for the project. James Gunn and Peter Safran from DC Studios emphasize that a project only moves forward once the screenplay is finalized. Lately, there seems to be a popular pattern in superhero entertainment where antagonists take center stage. This can be seen in shows like HBO’s “The Penguin,” Disney+’s “Agatha All Along,” and upcoming productions such as “Joker: Folie à Deux” from Warner Bros., and “Venom: The Last Dance” and “Kraven the Hunter” from Sony.
