- Dead Cells’ final two free updates have been sadly delayed on mobile
- But, we do know when they’re now arriving, February 18th 2025
- Both bring new weapons, mobs, mutations and more to the hit roguelike
As an avid gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that I’ve grown quite fond of Dead Cells over these past few years. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of endless runs, brutal boss fights, and the constant thrill of discovery. The news about the final two free updates being delayed on mobile was initially disheartening, but when I heard that they’re scheduled to drop in February 2025, my spirits were lifted.
Playdigious, the developer behind Dead Cells, has shared disappointing news about the delay of the last two free updates scheduled for mobile release. However, they’ve also provided a silver lining: Clean Cut and The End is Near now have a definite launch date – February 18th, 2025. So, let’s see what these updates bring!
As the Dead Cells console and PC versions have already been updated with these new features, we can now comfortably delve into what’s ahead. Highlighting the key attractions, there are two fresh weapons: the Sewing Scissors, ideal for Survival-oriented play, and the Giant Comb, catering to those who prefer Brutality. Additionally, a new character named the Tailor’s Daughter has joined the game, allowing players to customize their character’s head at will. There are plenty of other exciting additions as well.
As I delve deeper into the eerie world of “The End is Near,” I can’t help but feel a chill down my spine. But it’s not just the title that’s chilling – there are some new additions to the game that are truly terrifying. The Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer mobs have been added to the mix, each more menacing than the last.
All this and a lot of cells too
To put it simply, Playdigious has consistently given additional free content to Dead Cells for years, and while there was some criticism when they announced they were stopping these updates (to work on other projects), I believe they have more than proven themselves worthy of a break.
Hey there fellow gamers! Mark your calendars, because on February 18th, 2025, I’m super pumped to let you know that the final two updates for Dead Cells Mobile will be dropping simultaneously for both Android and iOS devices. Can’t wait to dive back in and see what new challenges await!
