Tim Miller, director of Deadpool, confessed that he personally petitioned Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige for a chance to helm a film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Miller played a crucial role in reviving Deadpool for the big screen in 2016; however, at that time, Fox held the rights to the X-Men.
The director disclosed that he contacted Feige regarding the X-Men once Disney purchased 21st Century Fox in March 2019, for a staggering sum of $71.3 billion. As part of this acquisition, Disney regained control over the film rights for both the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters.

Miller stated that he believes Marvel is hiding a powerful advantage they haven’t revealed yet, and that’s the entire X-Men universe – this was what initially drew him to comics. As for his preferred characters, they are none other than the X-Men.
Miller revealed that he had a project involving the X-Men in progress, stating: “I reached out to Kevin Feige and said, ‘If there’s anything you’d let me do in the Marvel Universe, it would be the X-Men. I was developing an X-Men film at Fox before the merger, which would have been fantastic. The concept was based on X-Men 143, a combination of Home Alone and Alien.’

The demon eventually reached the nearly empty X-Mansion, where only Kitty Pryde remained to defend it. Alone, she must find a way to send this demon back to its dimension.
I believe that Marvel holds an untapped resource in the form of the entire X-Men universe, a concept that initially captivated my interest in comic books.
As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’ve been a fan of Miller’s work long before last year. His resume includes a stint with Marvel, where he directed the opening title sequence for Thor: The Dark World. Post-Deadpool’s 2016 release, he’s kept himself occupied by executive producing the Sonic the Hedgehog movie series and bagging three Emmy Awards for his Netflix animated series, Love, Death & Robots.
Reportedly, director Jake Schreier of “Thunderbolts” is said to be in discussions about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Miller hinted that not only is he interested in creating a superhero film for Marvel, but there’s also a DC Comics character he’d be excited to bring to life on screen.

He jokingly mentioned, “If DC were to adapt The Authority someday, that’s my all-time favorite comic – it’s like Justice League but with lethal actions.” He expressed his belief that there are still numerous untold stories and possibilities within this genre.
In simpler terms, the co-chairman of DC, James Gunn, has made known his intentions to introduce the characters from The Authority gradually in an upcoming Superman film. Maria Gabriela de Faría is set to appear as The Engineer prior to a full debut.
In February, Gunn clarified that the development of the ‘Authority’ script has been facing challenges and, as a result, it hasn’t been given as much attention due to being overshadowed by other forthcoming DC projects on the agenda.
In agreement, DC’s co-chairman Peter Safran emphasized that making “The Authority” would require significant effort, given its grand scale. He also mentioned that certain story elements from films like Superman might be advanced in “The Authority.
