Deadpool & Wolverine Earns Coveted Taylor Swift Endorsement

As a dedicated gamer and longtime fan of both Marvel movies and Taylor Swift, I was beyond excited to hear about her involvement with “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Her friendship with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who are also closely tied to this project, only added to my anticipation. Swift’s Instagram post, filled with behind-the-scenes photos and heartfelt words, further fueled my excitement for the film.

Taylor Swift has given her seal of approval to Deadpool & Wolverine ahead of the film’s release on July 26. Swift, who was at one time rumored to have a cameo in the film, is close friends with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, acting as godmother to their children. In a playful post shared on her Instagram, Swift took a jab at Reynolds, calling him “my godkids’ sperm donor.”

I’ve been following the making of this upcoming Marvel movie closely, and I’m thrilled to share my excitement with you all as a fan. Recently, on Instagram Stories, Blake Lively shared a photo of us, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Shawn Levy, the director of “Deadpool” and “Wolverine.” I couldn’t help but express my admiration for one individual’s dedication to this project. Over the past few years, I’ve watched my dear friend invest every ounce of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into bringing this film to life. His passion is truly inspiring, and as a token of support, I urge everyone to buy their tickets and join us on this cinematic adventure. Check out Blake’s post below for more details!

No, Taylor Swift Isn’t in Deadpool & Wolverine

It’s plausible to assume that with Taylor Swift having a close connection to Ryan Reynolds, she could have been cast in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Reynolds’ involvement would undoubtedly bring more viewers to the movie. However, contrary to popular belief, Swift will not be appearing as Dazzler or Lady Deadpool in this production. Reynolds clarified this rumor last month, stating, “I want to put an end to the speculation about Taylor Swift’s cameo in this film. Our friendship is not linked to her having a role in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.'”

Based on initial peeks, Lady Deadpool appears to be portrayed by Lively instead of Swift as earlier speculated, and Dazzler seems absent from the film entirely. Reynolds’ comment about Swift not being in the movie now seems more truthful than a mere tease aimed at Swift fans.

Swift is currently busy with the overseas portion of her Eras Tour and has a lot going on, so it’s understandable if she can’t respond right now. But don’t worry, she hasn’t forgotten about Hollywood. In fact, she’s already made a deal with Searchlight Pictures to direct her first movie based on a script she wrote.

As a huge fan, I’m thrilled to share that Swift has made significant strides in her directorial career since then. Although updates about the project have been scarce, her accomplishments speak for themselves. The recognition she received is due to her award-winning “All Too Well” short film. Starring Sadie Sink from “Stranger Things” and Dylan O’Brien from “The Maze Runner,” this 15-minute masterpiece is a captivating adaptation of one of Swift’s most beloved songs, which originally lasted for ten minutes. This remarkable piece brought Swift the Best Direction award at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards and numerous other accolades, solidifying her place as an exceptional director in the industry.

Currently, Swift fans may need to be patient a bit more before their favorite singer makes her move into Hollywood. However, they can trust that when she eventually does, she’s expected to achieve great success due to her dedicated fanbase who will surely turn out in large numbers to watch her creations come to life on the big screen.
