As an ardent admirer of Bollywood royalty, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s little bundle of joy. The news of their due date in September and their plans for maternity leave until 2025 has sent my excitement levels soaring!
In February of this year, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their first pregnancy, which is expected in September. According to a recent report from News18 Showsha, the delivery date has been disclosed, as well as the actress’s intention to go on maternity leave until 2025.
A representative from their team disclosed that according to current plans, Deepika will give birth on September 28 at a hospital located in South Bombay. At this moment, the expectant mother is savoring the downtime from work she’s taking. Additionally, it was reported that Deepika intends to return to work in 2025 so she can fully dedicate herself to her newborn.
“Deepika’s maternity break will continue until March of the coming year. Following this, she will promptly start working on the sequel to Kalki, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas, as reported. Afterward, Deepika is expected to begin filming for The Intern, a new project with Amitabh Bachchan.”
This year, speaking with Vogue Singapore, Deepika expressed her readiness for parenthood and shared that she and Ranveer have a fondness for kids. The actress from YJHD mentioned her excitement about starting her own family, saying, “My family keeps me grounded, and Ranveer and I aspire to instill the same values in our future children.”
Ranveer and Deepika, who had been dating for six years, exchanged vows in 2018 at a private ceremony held at Lake Como, Italy. Their relationship began to flourish on the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), and grew even stronger during the production of their subsequent projects, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.

In upcoming news, they are set to appear together in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which also features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff. This action-packed movie is slated for release during Diwali this year, marking the fifth installment of Shetty’s Cop Universe.
