- Devil’s Purge, the heavy metal AR shooter, is getting a major new update
- Not only are there even more pulse-pounding music tracks, but it’s also going free to play!
- Try out the initial levels out of over 60 and blast the forces of Hell today
During my trip to Portugal at the end of last year, one of the exciting upcoming games I had an opportunity to test was Devil’s Purge. This augmented reality shooter hails from Ontop, where you engage in battling demons and even the devil himself, accompanied by a heavy metal soundtrack that is sure to get your adrenaline pumping.
Hey there fellow gaming enthusiast! If you’ve been hesitant about diving into the world of Devil’s Purge, now might just be the perfect moment. Not only are they beefing up their awesome soundtrack, but they’re making the game completely free-to-play! So, grab your controller and let’s embark on this thrilling adventure together!
Indeed, Devil’s Purge draws inspiration from its forebearer, Doom. Likewise, it adopts a shareware model, allowing players to sample some introductory stages at no cost. If you wish to access the entire game, there’s an option to make a payment for the full experience.
In “Devil’s Purge,” you won’t merely stand still and gesture towards adversaries, but rather, you’ll be actively dodging them to expose their vulnerable areas! This isn’t like Pokemon Go; the presence of demons should make that clear enough.
Blast ’em!
Besides what I mentioned earlier, the most recent update includes an array of fresh tracks for the intense soundtrack. It showcases music by independent metal bands such as Avesso, Visceral, Zero Massive, Tales for the Unspoken, among others. With more than 60 levels and a new combat system that allows you to customize your equipment right from the start using resources accumulated in previous gameplay sessions, this is an excellent moment to dive in and confront the legions of Hell!
The shift to free-to-play starts today, you can find Devil’s Purge over on the iOS App Store!
Instead, if you’re looking for a change, take a peek at what Catherine Dellosa had to say about the adorable, homely cooking simulator Cat Restaurant in our recurring section highlighting pre-launch games you can try out early.
