As a die-hard basketball fan and proud alumnus of Michigan State University (Go Green!), I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia upon seeing the Nike Book 1 “Michigan State” PE. Growing up just a stone’s throw away from the Breslin Center, I used to dream about stepping onto that court wearing the green and white colors, much like Devin Booker did last week.
Nike Book 1 “Michigan State” PE
Devin Booker made an unforgettable comeback when he played against the Detroit Pistons as the Phoenix Suns guard, right in Michigan State University’s Breslin Center – his hometown arena. As a native of Grand Rapids, Booker has maintained a close relationship with MSU and even respects their legendary coach, Tom Izzo, despite having played college ball at Kentucky. A special edition Nike shoe, the “Michigan State” PE, draws inspiration from the school’s forest green colors and features a nubuck toe box and canvas paneling to honor MSU. The Spartan mascot is also displayed on the heel as a symbol of school pride. However, it remains unclear whether this shoe will be made available for public purchase at this time.
